I see hands and trees as a theme in some of you work. I'm interested to understand this concept further in your work. In the piece with the hand holding the tree, the tree is very stylized. The hand doesn't so much follow through with this stylization. This indicates that perhaps something more rooted in reality (the hand) supports an interpretation of what nature is. That interpretation is something imagined or conceptual in nature. However, this is only one way to understand the piece. Overall, there is an innate danger of being trite depicting hands in artwork at all. It's almost implied that the idea of "a hand" is a part of any artwork, because the artwork did come from your hand. I'm interested in hearing about this piece, as it might be a good path to follow in you final project.
