The gold piece is beautiful. You manipulated the surface interestingly. What medium is the piece? It seems decorative, (but not necessarily in a bad way). It speaks to Aztec art, or some sort of Sun worship in a way. In that regard, it becomes icon-like.

Throughout your work you go back and forth utilizing bright crazy wonderful colors, and black and white, highly textural compositions. You seem to be straddling a stylized technique, and a more realistic approach. In my opinion I would choose one and run with it. Or, find a better balance. I'm left in an uncomfortable place with some of your work, because I'm not sure where the purposeful starts and the lack of investment ends. I feel that if you make definite moves in one direction, you will be more successful. I would also consider merging your bright, saturated color and blk/wht composition. I don't know what you are considering for your last piece, but I think if you keep in mind an aim for a stylized, bright, textural composition you will be highly successful. I think that the direction that you are heading in is really great. You have some really nice work. I hope my comments are helpful. Don't hesitate to respond and we can talk. I want to hear what you disagree with, or some of your thoughts on what i've said. Good work.
